My entry into flight was becomming a glider-pilot (full scale gliders) quite, awesome beautiful aircrafts, with which you can surft the sky, scout the thermals, your skill is the limit to how you can fly.
With the economic recession around 2008 I got too busy for flying every week..
That's whenI started playing with RC-FPV aircrafts. RC FPV gliders, helicopters and multirotors.
Who is kidding who.?
FPV is a piss poor substitute for the real thing, sitting in a aircraft and going where you point it. Missunderstand me right, I love FPV, its a awesome sport, and flying with a headtracker is amazingly cool, the technology is growing more powerful each month.. but I STILL love flying a real full size glider, by myself up in the sky.
One thing that keep puzzeling my imagination is the new breed of trailer-friendly micro gliders with eletric power. Maybe the coolest one right now is the EletraFlyer ULS (Ultra Light Soaring)
